Lorete was a 13th-century French trouvère and one of only eight women composers of Old French lyric poetry known by name. Known only by her first name, she is attributed with a single jeu parti (debate song) titled "Lorete, suer, par amor" ("Lorete, sister, in the name of love"), which features the Lorrain dialect.
