IGLESIAS, Julieta
Julieta Iglesias is an Argentine pianist, composer and arranger based in London. She started her piano studies in 1995 and received the 'Lía Cimaglia Espinosa' scholarship and the Santa Cecilia Medal In 2008, she graduated from the Universidad Nacional de las Artes and in 2017, from the Astor Piazzolla Conservatoire (Buenos Aires). Since 2002, Julieta has been performing and taking part of several festivals in important halls in Argentina, the UK, the US, Germany, Italy, Belgium, Sweden, Spain, France, Holland, Poland, Hungary and Ireland, playing classical, tango and popular music. Her first steps into composition were as an arranger. In 2018, Julieta recorded the album 'Astor' which is a tribute to the well-known tango composer and performed it in Argentina and Europe during 2018/2019. Her innovative and creative piano arrangements have been acclaimed by the audience and well-known music critics. She has recorded several albums and worked with many contemporary composers. In 2023, Julieta was the opening act of Fabiana Cantilo’s show in London, the iconic Argentine rock star. Nowadays, she keeps working on Piazzolla's works composing new arrangements for solo piano and two pianos, while she continues to promote classical music as well.
