HAMILTON-AYRES, Alexandra
  Alexandra Hamilton-Ayres is an award-winning film composer and classical electronic artist. Having written music for theatre, circus, dance, opera and film, she is well versed in telling stories through music and visual collaborations.
Film score credits include 'Do No Harm' with BAFTA and BIFA-nominated director Douglas King, Iniquity, feature documentary Long Live My Happy Head, featuring violin from Anna Phoebe, described as ātouchingā by the Brisbane Times.
As a solo artist and multi-instrumentalist, Alexandra plays instruments, live electronics and everyday sounds in her shows. Alexandraās passions lie in the duality between the classical and electronica worlds, moving picture and her love for the piano. Her music has been described by The White Room Magazine as āmajestic, at times monumentalā¦the force and vastness of natureā.
As an advocate for artist collaboration, Alexandra has featured on several rework releases, incluing alongside Mogwai for Vanburās Human Reworked EP, and has released music with Hector Plimmer (Alberts Favourites), Matt Stewart-Evans (1631 Recordings), Josh Semans (Hidden Notes Records), Phaebel (Fuchsklang), Mara Simpson (Downfield records), Frances Shelley, Freddie Prest, Perdurabo, Her Ensemble and Kezia Tomsett.
Alexandra has been part of BAFTA Crew x BFI Network since 2019 and was also on the judging panel for the prestigious Ivor Novello Awards 2020 for āBest Original Film Scoreā. She is represented by Manners McDade in London, UK.
