CHANCE, Alice

Alice Chance is an Australian composer, conductor, singer, arranger and multidisciplinary artist from Sydney. Her work spans contemporary classical music, choral music, musical theatre, theatre and sound art. She often incorporates participatory elements, inviting audiences to contribute through their voices, phones or other interactive means. Alice Chance
She has worked with ensembles including the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, Gondwana Choirs and Ensemble Offspring, and has been a three-time finalist in the APRA AMC Art Music Awards in the Vocal/Choral Work of the Year category. Her compositions include Heirloom, a chamber work centered on intergenerational stories between women; Through Changing Landscape for orchestra; Colourburst; the clarinet concerto Échappsodie; Mirroring for solo vibraphone; and numerous choral works. Alice Chance
Chance completed a master’s degree in composition with Régis Campo at the École Normale de Musique de Paris–Alfred Cortot and the Université de Versailles Saint-Quentin. She currently works between Paris and Sydney.
