Paulina Cabrero y Martínez de Ahumada was a Spanish composer, singer and instrumentalist, born in Madrid on 1 February 1822. She was active in the musical salons of nineteenth-century Spain and became known for songs and romances with piano accompaniment. Her collection Primeras inspiraciones musicales was published in 1842 and is often mentioned as an important early example of a song collection by a woman composer in Spain. Her works include Temores de la inocencia, La partenza, Plegaria, Ecos de alegría, Bonheur à toi and 4 Villancicos.
