Saint Bridget of Sweden (c. 1303–1373) was a 14th-century Swedish mystic, founder of the Bridgettine Order, and a patron saint of Europe. She is associated with the development of a distinct musical liturgy for her order, known as the Cantus Sororum (Song of the Sisters), which included chants she influenced, such as *Iam laetaris*Latuit, and Patris excelsi.
