Four-time Emmy-winning composer JULIE BERNSTEIN has worked in animation as a composer, orchestrator, arranger, song-writer, lyricist, conductor and singer. Her music can be heard in numerous animated series including the original hit television series Animaniacs as well as the Animaniacs Reboot from 2020, The Boys: Diabolical (Laser Baby’s Day Out) set in the twisted universe of the hit live action series The Boys, Pinky & the Brain, Freakazoid, Histeria!, Tiny Toons Adventures, Baby Looney Toons, Make Way for Noddy, Sylvester and Tweety Mysteries, and the animated features Wakko’s Wish, Tom and Jerry: Blast Off to Mars, several Noddy specials and Baby Looney Tunes: Egg-straordinary Adventure. Julie’s songs and arrangements can be heard on the CDs Yakko’s World, Animaniacs and Tweety’s High-Flying Adventure. Her arrangements for string quartet and voice can be heard on multi-Grammy-nominated jazz singer Tierney Sutton’s album After Blue and on world-renowned opera singer Natalie Dessay’s double album Pictures of America, as well as pop singer Sophie Carpenter’s album No Room at the In. Nominations include 2 Annie Awards and an HMMA (Hollywood Music in Media Award), as well as more than 20 Emmy nominations for songs and underscore. “Snapshots” for oboe, cello and soprano was a semi-finalist for The American Prize in chamber music.
