Josepha Barbara Auernhammer was an Austrian pianist and composer, the eleventh child of Johann Michael Auernhammer and Elisabeth Timmer. Auernhammer primarily composed piano music, especially variations, which demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of pianistic techniques and skilful use of the instrument. She published "around 10 volumes of piano variations". Six German songs (1790) were circulated in manuscript form.
