Mattea Williams is an African American composer and writer born in Berkeley, California and based in Napa. She studied composition and piano at Baldwin Wallace Conservatory and graduated in 2019 with a bachelor's in music.
Williams enjoys finding captivating sonic solutions to unique musical problems. She does so using a combination of organic sound design and extended instrumental techniques to create immersive, dynamic musical textures that provide a mixed-media approach to storytelling.
