Nancy Wertsch is an American composer specialising in music for the voice. A native of Oshkosh, Wisconsin, she currently lives and works in New York City. She has enjoyed a career as a multifaceted musician in a variety of disciplines: as an accomplished pianist, mezzo-soprano soloist, composer, teacher, professional chorister, and choral contractor & consultant.
Nancy’s compositional style is diverse and rooted in music for the voice, ranging in style from complex poly-choral music for advanced concert choirs to motets and two-part anthems for small church choirs, treble voices, children's choirs, art songs, and arrangements of spirituals and American songs. Her works also include instrumental pieces for brass, wind ensemble, and organ.
