Naomi Weinroth (Jay Greenberg) was born in the United States, where she studied at the Juilliard School before receiving her BA in Music from the University of Cambridge and going on to a DMus from the University of Auckland (studying under Eve de Castro-Robinson and Leonie Holmes). Her music has been performed across the USA, the UK, New Zealand and South Korea. She has also been the recipient of numerous awards and commissions, most recently the 2017 Douglas Lilburn Composition Prize at the University of Auckland. She has lived in New Zealand since 2013.
