Wang An-Ming was born in Shanghai, China. She received her musical training in China and in the United States. She holds a B.E. Degree from Central China University (an affiliate of Yale University), a B.M. degree (magna cum laude) from Wesleyan Conservatory, and an M.A. degree from Columbia University. She also studied at the Juilliard School of Music.
Ms Wang's works include keyboard, vocal, instrumental, chamber ensemble, choral, operatic, and orchestral compositions. Her works have been performed at the White House, Kennedy Centre for the Performing Arts, the National Gallery of Art, and the Corcoran Gallery in Washington, D.C. Her compositions were also performed at the Carnegie Recital Hall in New York City, the Spoleto Music Festival in Charleston, S.C., and in major music festivals throughout the United States.
