Karoline Wallace is a Norwegian singer, improviser, composer, and arranger whose music blends Norwegian folk traditions, jazz, and contemporary classical music. Originally from Stabekk, Norway, she holds a Master’s degree in Composition and Music Performance from the Rhythmic Music Conservatory in Copenhagen, with additional studies at the Norwegian Academy of Music in Oslo and the Academy of Music and Drama in Gothenburg. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Jazz Performance from the Grieg Academy in Bergen and the Royal College of Music in Stockholm. Wallace composes and arranges for her own ensembles as well as for wind orchestras, choirs, string quartets, and big bands, and has established herself as an important voice in the Scandinavian improvised music scene.
