Amanda Theresa Sandborg Waesterberg was born in Stockholm on 16 December 1842 and died on 3 January 1918 in Bergvik, Hälsingland. She composed approximately 200 sacred songs. Half of her songs are written for one or more voices with accompaniment, the remainder are in four-part settings for choir or for congregational singing. Between 1875 and 1920, her songs were published either individually or in the weekly newspaper Sanningsvittnet. She was also very active as a piano teacher.
