Dianne Wachsman Betkowski is an American composer and cellist. A native of Champaign, Illinois, she studied cello and composition at the National Academy of Arts High School before earning a bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign and a Master of Music in cello performance from Boston University. Her composition teachers included John Melby and Marjorie Merryman. Alongside her work as a performer and educator, she has composed chamber and orchestral music.
