VOISIN, Nanine Marchal

Nanine Marchal Voisin (full name: Melle Nanine Marchal Voisin) was an 18th–19th century French woman composer active in the early 1800s. She is known primarily through her surviving piano works, which are now considered part of the historical repertoire of femmes composatrices (women composers) from the period.

Her most notable surviving piece is the Rondo alla Polacca for the Piano, dated around 1820 and dedicated to Madame Julie Chirat. The work was published in Paris by Charles Bochsa Père, an author, editor, and music dealer of the time. Other surviving material includes a Fantaisie for piano.
