Through decades of experience as a programmer, radio maker, presenter, interviewer, teacher, organizer, musician/composer, expert on the jazz field, and the Dutch cultural policy field, Vera Vingerhoeds has built up an enormous and broad expertise. Since 2016, Vera Vingerhoeds has been teaching JAZZ on various stages in the country, two course programs for jazz lovers and concertgoers. The aim is to learn to distinguish better what can be heard in Jazz & Improvisational music and to be able to follow the development of all jazz styles. During her 22 years in radio she did a lot of interviews with great jazz legends like John Scofield, Bill Frisell, Cory Henry, Mark Guiliana, David Virelles, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Louis Hayes, Gonzalo Rubalcaba, Jeff Tain Watts, Mischa Mengelberg, Han Bennink, Ginger Baker, Nels Cline, Marc Ribot, Mark Turner, Benjamin Herman, Eric Vloeimans, Lionèl Louéke, Marshall Allen, Craig Taborn, Vijay Iyer, Fred Hersch, Nels Cline, Jeremy Pelt; all winners of the prestigious Boy Edgar Prize,and many many others.
