Adela del Valle was the daughter of guitarist Angel del Valle. Her father gave her guitar lessons during her primary school years, and then later apprenticed with well-known guitarist and composer Julio Sagreras.
She made her stage debut on guitar in 1917, and is noted for being a good singer and playing a number of instruments besides guitar. Most of the repertoire she has left behind contains folklore song arrangements with the guitar as accompaniment.
