Claude Valéry (born Valérie Aline Bousquet; 1909–1992) was a French composer, pianist, lyricist, and actress, born in Nice on 4 January 1909. Active mainly in French popular music from the 1940s through the 1950s, she collaborated with lyricist Raymond Asso—whom she later married—and composed numerous chansons that became part of the French repertoire, including Comme un p'tit coquelicot, Y'a tant d'amour, and Ninon... ma Ninette. She also wrote music for films and children's recordings and occasionally appeared as an actress. Claude Valéry died on 13 October 1992.
