VAHALA, Sanna

Sanna Vähälä (b. 1974) is a Finnish composer and music student from Tampere. After completing professional studies in classical singing as a contralto at the Tampere Conservatory in 2020, she began studying music theory pedagogy and composition at Tampere University of Applied Sciences. Her musical background includes performances with the Tampere Opera Choir, participation in opera productions, and work leading music groups for people with developmental disabilities. As a composer, she has studied with Roope Mäenpää and Hannu Pohjannoro and has attended masterclasses with Reiko Füting and Mikel Urquiza.
