Zofia Urbanyi-Krasnodębska was a Polish conductor, full professor, lecturer at the Academy of Music in Wrocław. A graduate of the Ursuline Secondary School of the Ursuline Sisters of the UR in Wrocław and the Secondary State Music School in Bydgoszcz (1955). In 1961, she completed studies in symphonic and opera conducting at the Academy of Music in Warsaw. After graduation, from 1961 to 1971 she taught at her alma matter in the class of opera ensembles and choral conducting. She also worked as a choir conductor and choirmaster at the Grand Theater in Warsaw. In 1972 she moved to Wrocław, where she was the conductor of the local opera until 1980. In 1980, she resigned from the opera and started lecturing at the Wrocław Academy of Music.
