Mercè Torrents Turmo was a pianist and composer from Catalonia. She composed pieces for solo instruments, songs, chamber music, choir, orchestra and cobla (a traditional catalan ensemble). She composed music for a lot of cataln poems. Her music is a mix between classical music and popular catalan music, with impressionistic influences.
