Brita von Troil (1902–1990) was the wife of Knut von Troil, deputy managing director of the Kymi Company. She was born into the musical von Haartman family. Brita’s sister, Greta von Haartman, had a distinguished career as a mezzo-soprano in Finnish opera.
Before her marriage, Brita von Troil studied composition and music theory at the Helsinki Music Institute under Erik Furuhjelm, voice under Alexandra Ahnger, and piano under Ingeborg Hymander.
