Dolores Agustina Ana Victoria Tarruella was born on august 28 1880 in Alcoy, Spain. After her father passed away when Lola was just 8 months old, her family moved to Villena, where the composer lived for the majority of her life.
Lola was a composer as well as a playwright. She wrote about 50 musical works including chamber music, pieces for voice and piano, piano solo works, musical theatre and zarzuela, and big band.
