TAMBURINI, Serena

Serena Tamburini is an italian composer and musician. She studied flute and electronic music. In the early 1980s, she began her career as a composer, focusing primarily on electroacoustic works. While her works often incorporate acoustic instruments, they always feature synthetic sound and very frequently involve the processing of concrete sounds — both instrumental and non-instrumental.

In 1997, she published “L’Acustica Della Musica,” a book that compiles her work and experiences from the acoustics course she taught for three years to students in the experimental music history program at the Cagliari Conservatory.
