Composer and teacher. University studies in the USA; after a three-year stay, he returned to Vienna and passed his teaching qualification in German and English. She received his first piano lessons as a child from Erich Meller and Leopold Lingner.
Worked at adult education centres and at the ‘Amerika Institut’ in Vienna. She did not come to prominence as a composer until the 1950s and 1960s. She mainly set her own English texts to music.
