SEMJONOVA, Marita

When I was about 7 years old, I started to go to music school in small city near by the Baltic sea - Ventspils. I played piano.

I graduated from Ventspils music high school in 2015 and continued my studies at the Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of music studying in professor Selga Mence's composition class. In the academy, we had contemporary music festival deciBels where we participated every year in projects. In 2019 I worked on a composition for a string orchestra with fixed media. In September 2019 I began studying for a master's in Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of music under the Latvian composer Jānis Petraškevičs.

I also worked as a music theory teacher at Salaspils arts and music school and Pāvula Jurjāna Rīgas music high school.
