Born around 1841, 1844, or 1847 (date of death unknown); violinist, conductor, and singer. Marie Schipek was the daughter of the flugelhorn player Franz Schipek (c. 1807 – c. 1860) and the needleworker Josepha Schipek, née Kozaczek (1815–?). Franz Schipek was a member of the "Viennese Flugelhorn Players" (*Wiener Flügelhornisten*) under the direction of A. Fuchs and subsequently founded—no later than 1843—the *Flügel-Hornisten-Corps* (Flugelhorn Corps), also known as the *Wiener Flügelhornisten-Corps*.
