Notes:

My name is Noëmi Schermann and I was born and raised in Amersfoort. From an early age I have had a strong urge to make music. I got that love for music in it from the age of my childhood. My mother is a violist and my father is a home violinist and conductor. I myself chose the piano, but that was soon expanded to compose, sing and now also teach and conduct.

As long as I can remember I have been improvising for myself at the piano. That has grown into composing. When I was nine I wrote the composition 'Berglied' about my love for the mountains and I participated in the composition competition of the Dutch Blazers Ensemble. That was my first real piece and got to the final. Throughout the entire journey, the VARA followed me and made a documentary of it.
