SCALETTI, Carla

Carla Scaletti is a composer, software developer, and author. She is associated with "Mu Psi," a concept she describes as "sound-art that seeks to transcend the personal and to express universal concepts, patterns, and processes." Scaletti likens Mu Psi to science fiction in narrative art, where a sound work begins with a hypothesis and explores its ramifications. She believes art has a purpose in society, aiming to stimulate imaginative thinking, entertain by stimulating the intellect, and guide audiences through abstract conceptual spaces.

Scaletti's artistic mission includes creating sonic metaphors for universal concepts and providing an ecstatic experience for the audience. She also emphasizes playing within constraints and experimentally violating them to explore consequences.
