SATO, Miu

Miu Sato is a New York-based Japanese composer for screen and stage, passionate about storytelling and amplifying underrepresented voices. She deeply values collaboration, finding joy and creative inspiration from the people she collaborates with and the stories they share. Born and primarily raised in Singapore, she enjoys exploring a wide range of sonic palettes and incorporating her unique exposure to various cultures and experiences in her works. She recently orchestrated and performed her original song “Home” at a tribute concert honoring and featuring Disney Legend, Alan Menken.
