Laetitia Joséphine Sari, known as Laetitia Sari, was born on December 18, 1841, in Les Batignolles. Sari studied music with the pianist and composer Henri Ravina, whom she subsequently married in 1874. Her body of work includes least 25 opuses, spanning sacred music, solo instrumental pieces, parlour songs, and chamber music—scored for organ, piano, violin, or voice.
