Alicia Santos Santos (Madrid, 7 -X -1958) completed her musical studies at the Royal Conservatory of Music of Madrid, where she obtained the higher degrees of Clave and Composition.
She received the Jacinto Guerrero Composition Scholarship from 1983 to 1986. Since 1986 she has been dedicated to teaching, currently being a professor of Fundamentals of Composition at the Professional Conservatory of Music "Joaquín Turina" in Madrid and a member of the Choir of the Carlos III University of Madrid. After several years she has resumed composition and is especially interested in vocal, choral and solo music, as well as in small format groups and solo instruments.
