Notes:

Princess Charlotte of Saxe-Meiningen (German: Marie Charlotte Amalie Ernestine Wilhelmine Philippine, Prinzessin von Sachsen-Meiningen) was a member of the House of Saxe-Meiningen and a Princess of Saxe-Meiningen by birth and a member of the House of Saxe-Gotha-Altenburg and Duchess consort of Saxe-Gotha-Altenburg through her marriage to Ernest II, Duke of Saxe-Gotha-Altenburg.
Charlotte was artistically active. She composed music, some of which has been preserved in the Barchfeld Music Collection, which is housed at the Hessian Music Archive[1] in Marburg. This includes several harpsichord pieces that presumably found their way into the collection through family connections.
