RUD, Diana

Diana Rud graduated from the National University of Rosario with degrees as a National Music Teacher, specializing in piano, and as a Higher National Music Teacher, specializing in composition. Her compositions include chamber music, choral works, symphonic works, and pieces for soloists. She has premiered and recorded works in various locations throughout Argentina (including the Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires) and abroad (Chile, the U.S., Venezuela, Denmark, Mexico, Spain, Cuba, Peru, Canada, and Belgium). She has received scholarships and awards: Scholarship recipient at the Bariloche Music Camp in 1984; Scholarship from the Undersecretary of Culture of the Province of Santa Fe, 1998 and 1999; First Prize in the Santafesino Composers’ Competition, Arcién Foundation for Art, Education, Science, and Technology, 1978; Grand Prize in the Composition Competition of the Third Latin American Harp Encounter (TELDA), National Council for Culture (CONAC), and Venezuelan Harpists’ Association, Caracas, Venezuela.
