ROMEIJN, Aafke

Aafke Romeijn is a musician and writer. She makes Dutch-language electropop. With collaborations with a.o. Spinvis, Sef and Isabelle A she scored several radio hits in the Netherlands and Flanders. As a solo artist/electro producer she tours extensively and released her fifth studio album Godzilla in 2021. As an author, Romeijn published several novels, poetry collections and non-fiction works. Her science fiction novel Concept M (Arbeiderspers, 2018) was nominated for the Award for Best Book for Young People, and appeared in the series Grote Lijsters in 2024. Together with her partner bram ieven, Romeijn makes documentary podcast series for KRO-NCRV and NPO Luister, from which Monsters In Het Bos generated more than a million streams. She is a member of the Members Council of Buma/Stemra, Board Member of BAM! Popauteurs and a Board Member of ECSA.
