Mercedes (Mercè) Roldós i Freixes was a Spanish composer and music educator who performed professionally as a pianist during her childhood. Born and raised in Barcelona, she transitioned from a child prodigy into an influential administrative and artistic leader at the famed Marshall Academy. She played a crucial role in preserving the Catalan pianistic tradition.
