Born in Caracas, she earned a degree in composition from the Royal Superior Conservatory of Music in Madrid and a Master’s degree in Musical Creation and Performance from Rey Juan Carlos University in Madrid. Between 2006 and 2009, she worked periodically on her compositions under the supervision of the renowned Finnish composer Kaija Saariaho in Paris.

Her compositions span various genres and styles for diverse instrumental ensembles; notably, her work *Catwalk* (for ensemble) won a prize awarded by the Center for the Dissemination of Contemporary Music (CDMC) at the 2007 Injuve composition competition. In 2008, the CDMC commissioned her to write *Laberinto* for the 24th Alicante International Contemporary Music Festival.
