Based in Cologne, the Italian composer Elisa Quarello graduated in Composition from Conservatory of Music “G. B. Martini” Bologna (Italy) in 2014. She studied with Francesco Carluccio and attended composition masterclasses with Salvatore Sciarrino, Manfred Trojahn, Luís Tinoco and opera workshops with Martin Crimp and Klaus Bertisch. Elisa Quarello also studied violin, piano, earned the Choral conducting degree in 2010 and her educational background also includes a Bachelor degree in Italian Literature (2010) and a Masters degree in Italian Philology and Literature (2014) both earned at University “Ca' Foscari” of Venice. She has worked in several world-renowned theatres, like Komische Oper Berlin, Mecklenburgisches Staatstheater Schwerin and Oper Köln.
