Janneke van der Putten (Amsterdam, 1985) is an artist based in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. Janneke’s work has been presented in Europe, America and in the African continent at the Lagos Biennale, 2021, and at Institut Français de Mauritanie, 2022. Her work explores sonic architectures, geo-astronomical cycles, and the interplay of voice and space. She has presented projects such as "Sonorous Breathing," "Quitsato Paysage," and "Fusillé Landscape." Van der Putten also leads workshops, including "Acoustics and Voice" and "Textile and Voice in the Landscape." Her artistic practice incorporates elements of performance, installation, and in-situ listening. She has released an album titled "I.A. Water Reservoir."
