The writer and composer Leonore Pany was born on August 8, 1877, in Hollenburg on the Danube (Lower Austria) and died on February 24, 1965, in Vienna.
Her musical foundation was laid right in her parents’ home in Hollenburg on the Danube, where she received intensive private piano lessons from her own parents. To develop her skills professionally, she pursued formal music studies at the Krems Conservatory from 189964 to 1896. Throughout her life, she composed original works alongside her literary work. Her musical output is considered exceptionally prolific in musicology. As the author of over 50 novels and plays, she possessed a keen sense of dramaturgy and lyricism, which was also reflected in the structure and expression of her musical art.
