LEE Myung-Sun was born in Seoul, South Korea, in 1973. From 1993 to 1997, she studied composition and music education at Kwan-Dong University.
From 1997 to 1999, she continued her studies in composition at Sook-Myung Women’s University.
From 2001 to 2003, she completed a postgraduate program in composition at the Dresden University of Music under Wilfried Krätzschmar, graduating with honors.
From 2003 to 2005, she attended a master class in composition at the Dresden University of Music under Wilfried Krätzschmar.
