Leann Marshall is a contemporary American harpist and composer whose creative output centers on original repertoire for lever and pedal harp. Performing primarily on lever harp (notably 34-string instruments such as the Dusty Strings Crescendo), she has developed an extensive library of solo and chamber literature tailored both for concert performance and for intermediate-to-advanced harpists seeking idiomatic, contemplative contemporary repertoire.
Her compositions are characterized by flowing arpeggiated patterns, lyrical melodic phrasing, modal inflections, and evocative nature-inspired themes. Marshall's major published collection, My Indigo Dream, comprises nine character solos—including "Breezes and Winds", "Fly Free", and "Forever"—which are frequently studied and performed in the lever harp community. Among her standalone solo harp works are reflective pieces such as "Whispers of Autumn", "Finding Grace Within", "Peace Prayer", "Always With You", and "Love Without Words", as well as programmatic miniatures like "The Orb Weaver" and "Across the Old Stone Bridge". Beyond solo harp literature, she has also composed chamber settings including "Fantasya" for flute and harp.
