Gwendolyn Marsh (later Gwendolyn Marsh-Bradshaw) was a 20th-century British composer, pianist, and educator born in England. Formally trained in keyboard performance, accompaniment, and music theory, she spent much of her career engaged in private and institutional music instruction, developing specialized pedagogical literature tailored to intermediate keyboard students, amateur string players, and school choral groups.
Marsh’s compositional output focused predominantly on educational piano music, character miniatures, and accessible chamber ensembles. Her pieces are marked by clear formal structures, transparent contrapuntal lines, and imaginative thematic titles that stimulate interpretative expression in developing performers. Among her published works are keyboard character pieces such as "The Clockmaker" and "The Cuckoo", alongside pedagogical suites and graded examination material published in mid-20th-century Britain by houses such as Curwen and Bosworth.
