Ana Marković is a contemporary Serbian musicologist, author, and creator born in Belgrade. Her foundational musical education was centered on classical performance, graduating in flute from the secondary music school in Belgrade. She subsequently broadened her academic profile by enrolling at the University of Arts in Belgrade, where she studied musicology at the Faculty of Music (Fakultet muzičke umetnosti – FMU), while concurrently pursuing studies in general literature and literary theory at the Faculty of Philology.
In Serbian contemporary musical life, Marković’s work operates at the intersection of musical dramaturgy, vocal/textual composition, and musicological scholarship. Indexed in specialized regional documentation, including the study "Žene i muzika u Srbiji" (Women and Music in Serbia), her activities bridge critical analysis of 20th- and 21st-century music culture with interdisciplinary creative projects, focusing particularly on the relationships between musical gesture, text, and vocal chamber settings.
