Mrs. Margerum was an English singer and composer active around the turn of the 19th century. Her known compositions are primarily classical/theatrical songs scoring a solo soprano voice and orchestra: "Whate'er the pleasures known" (1799) – Written for soprano (S) and orchestra, "Songs" (1800) – A published collection or series of works for soprano and orchestra, "When the ship proudly gives" (undated) – Set for soprano and orchestra. During this period, she was also recognized as a performing artist on the London and regional stage, appearing in theater playbills (such as at Covent Garden) and performing contemporary works by other composers.
