Nida Marchioni was a 20th-century Brazilian composer and pianist. Associated primarily with the city of Bauru in the state of São Paulo, she was an active figure in regional Brazilian art and concert music, contributing substantially to the repertoire for solo piano. Marchioni’s compositional catalogue centered on solo keyboard works that integrated European classical forms, such as preludes and expressive character pieces with nationalistic Brazilian rhythmic and harmonic idioms. Her most widely recognized work, "Batuque", draws upon the driving syncopations, percussive drive, and dance traditions of Afro-Brazilian batuque. In 1980, her piano compositions gained wider circulation through a dedicated recording project released as an LP entitled "Batuque: Músicas de Nida Marchioni", recorded by Brazilian pianist Ilza Antunes Araújo.
