MANOKINA, Hanna

Hanna Manokina (also documented as Anna Manokina) is a contemporary Ukrainian composer, pianist, and music educator. Educated in the Ukrainian classical conservatory tradition, she completed advanced studies in piano performance, music theory, and composition. As a composer, Manokina has focused extensively on contemporary chamber music, solo instrumental works (particularly for piano, strings, and winds), and educational repertoire. Her compositional style integrates modern Eastern European harmonic textures and contrapuntal rigor with expressive, lyric melodic lines often drawing subtle inspiration from Ukrainian folklore and modal idioms. Alongside her creative work, she has been an active pedagogue, mentoring young musicians and contributing contemporary pedagogical pieces to student competitions and festival programs.
