Raised and educated (piano, piano chamber music, and music pedagogy) in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan (former Soviet republic), she graduated from the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow (composition and composition theory) before coming to Vienna in 1996. From 1996 to 1998, she continued her studies as a guest student in the composition class of Prof. Erich Urbanner at the Vienna University of Music and Performing Arts.
Since 1986, she has performed as a soloist and chamber musician, as well as a composer, participated in various international music festivals in Western and Eastern Europe, Central Asia, and the USA, and made professional radio recordings and CDs.
