Elena Maier is a Russian-born German composer, pianist, and filmmaker. Born in Syktyvkar, Russia, she began her classical piano training at an early age before moving to Germany as a teenager, where she completed studies in piano performance at the Wiesbaden Music Academy (Wiesbadener Musikakademie) and later studied film scoring and filmmaking at the prestigious Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg.

Maier's work spans classical performance, contemporary chamber music, and media composition. She has scored numerous short films, independent productions, and multimedia projects—such as "High Girls", "Gift", and "Todesworte", integrating acoustic piano textures, orchestral scoring, and cinematic soundscapes. Alongside her scoring and creative projects, she remains active as a performing pianist and music educator.
